Greencopper started in 2009 as an event app solution tailored to the unique needs of music festivals. Since it was common for these festivals to experience periods of unreliable WiFi, we focused our efforts on creating an app that could provide event information and engagement opportunities both on- and offline. Over the next few years, we perfected the app by adding forward-thinking features and updating the attendee experience so they could create custom event-day schedules, rely on interactive venue maps, and access artist information from anywhere, at any time.
We quickly grew into the largest mobile app platform for music festivals, powering over 300 events across 26 countries. To help sustain our massive growth and continue expanding our offering beyond music festivals, we joined the Patron Technology family in 2018 as its dedicated app solution alongside ShowClix, PatronManager, Ticketleap, and other leading event technology products. From the start, it was clear that our vision lined up with Patron Technology’s: to engage audiences like never before.
Patron Technology was creating a suite of event technology that provided organizers with a single solution for all their event needs. With Greencopper on their side, the company now had the best software in the mobile app space to accompany their already robust ticketing products, and was one step closer to their goal of expanding to the entire event experience, including engagement solutions.
